Science Standard: Land Formations
Addresses the two water formations in the land formations standard. Photographs of rivers from California, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho present a variety of visual experience for different kinds of rivers: slow and flat, fast and steep, through valleys, through canyons, etc. Photographs of the Pacific Ocean off the Central California coast present the size of the ocean, waves, swells, breakers crashing on sandy beaches or rocks, and a variety of coastline types. Animated maps and globes illustrate the size of the oceans. A pirate even sneaks into the presentation. Verses focus on details about Rivers and Oceans, the chorus presents how widespread these are in our world. Approximate time 5 minutes.
